3 steps for how to start your own GAC
Identify your WHY. What are the reasons behind your drive to start a local GAC? Your WHY is going to keep you motivated as you navigate starting, leading and maintaining a group.
Decide how often you want to meet up & organize the activities for your meetups. You can make a private facebook group or use an app of your choosing such as Band or The Jump to keep all events and communications easily accessible and organized.
Market & advertise your group to friends and community members to establish a group. You can do this via local community facebook groups, using a library community space board, churches and other gathering spaces.
**Collect any money needed ahead of time before the group activities commence to ensure you will be able to pay your facilitators/guides/mentors.
